The Govt of India provided Rs 4000 Cr interest free loan to Himachal Pradesh to be returned after 50yrs.
This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur who holds the portfolio of finance today while presenting fourth annual budget in the state assembly.
He said that Under MLA Discretionary Grants in last 3yrs Rs 2382 Cr were spent for 482 schemes. State Government also decided to double this Discretionary Grants under Vikas Main Jan Sahyog for yr 2021-22 to ensure the participation of people in the scheme.
Under NABARD MLA priority Schemes new budget estimates proposed to increase the MLAs allocation from Rs 120 Cr to 135 Cr.
Under Vidhyak Keshaitar Nidhi govt suspended the scheme due to Covid pandemic and later reduced it to Rs 50 lakh. Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said that he restored the scheme for fy 2021-22 and increased the allocation to Rs 172 Cr to Rs 180 Cr. Under this scheme legislator could allot upto Rs 5,0000 Mahila and Yuvak Mandal.
MLAs, Minister and other Govt functionary like chair man and vice-chairman contributed 30 percent of their salaries to Chief Minister Funds in financial year 20-21 to be restored from Ap 1, this year, CM announced.
