Where on one hand Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated here today that BJP supported candidates had won 22 Nagar Parishads out of 29 and 18 Nagar Panchayats out of 21. The party supported candidates emerged victorious in number of Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Councils as they got clear majority in many Urban Local Bodies and also succeed to win by wafer thin majority in number of local bodies, stated the Congress state chief.

Polling for for 50 Urban Local bodies in the state was concluded on Sunday, whereafter results were announced till MOnday afternoon.

Meanwhile Jai Ram Thakur said that electoral process displayed the faith of people in democracy at the grass root level. He said that the BJP supported candidates have won a majority of wards in these Urban Local Bodies.
