Shimla, Jul 13
HP Congress party staged protest on the failure of BJP Government in the state to handle the Coronavirus pandemic before the secretariat here today and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
The protest meeting was addressed by Congress state President Mr Kuldeep Singh Rathore
and other party leaders. He said that state was much batter compared to the other state of
the country However Government remained failed to handle the situation.
He said that after allowing free movement of state people and migration workers cases
was increased to large number as two lakh people were allowed to enter in eight to ten
days created the Chaos in the state.
State Government has lost all administration control as state did not followed the SOPs and guidelines of quarantines effectively.
He said that Government recently permitted unrestrained movement to the people coming to state in industrial projects and other works which have increased the Corona Virus cases
suddenly as the figure mounted to 1213 in the state today.
He said that decisions of hiking 25 per cent bus fare by the Jai Ram Government would burden the common man and the decisions should not be implemented as people couldn’t bear the burden in the time of Pandemic.
He said that Government taken antipeople decisions like issuing inflated power fills , withdrawal of subsidy to APL family on the ration and this decisions is against the pensioners and it should be rolled back immediately.
He also demanded to role back the reduction in the interest rate of provident fund by restoring it earlier slabs. He said that Government should also provide the DA to all the employees and pensioners withheld during the pandemic.
He said that recent hike in the prices of Diesel and Petrol is causing inflation as the prices of all commodities is increasing every day.
Mr Rathore said that recent decisions of opening the tourist destination is not in the
interest of state and it would increase the number of COVID-19 cases and state Government should also reviewed the decision.
