A plan is being prepared to conduct Covid test of employees and officers of all government offices, along with tests of employees posted in hotels informed Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati . They are also planning to conduct Covid test of teachers and students in schools to prevent the spread of Covid infection at any stage.
Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati said that an awareness campaign will be conducted in Kangra district by 31 October to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to make the general public aware. On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati launched an awareness campaign in the Cabinet Auditorium of the Mini Secretariat, as per the guidelines of the government, to effectively spread the message of SOPs till the medicines are not available.
An awareness campaign is being launched in which right use of masks, hand hygiene, ensuring distance of two yards and getting the test done at the nearest flu center in case of symptoms are the the key points of focus. People are also told to obey quarantine and isolation rules. A special care of the elderly and people suffering from other diseases will be kept into consideration.
Prajapati said that isolation kits have also been prepared in Kangra district. Insulation kits will also be provided to those people whose Covid test report will come positive, including all the information including oximeter, essential medicines, etc. to protect them from Covid. A control room has also been set up at the district headquarters regarding Covid-19 and by contacting toll-free number 1077, necessary information can also be obtained about Covid-19.
Prajapati said that necessary information about rescue from Covid-19 at various places in Kangra district will also be brought to the general public through posters and flex and hoardings are also being installed at major places.
He further informed that testing facility has also been expanded in Kangra district and 20 sample collection centers have been set up in the district with around 1200 tests being conducted daily.
He urged people to get their Covid test done at the nearest flu center in case of symptoms of cold, cough, fever.
