Cut Motion on Health : Govt filed up 1500 posts of doctors

Health Minister Rajiv Saizal said that post of 1500 doctors were filled by the Jai Ram Thakur Government in the state.
This was stated by Health Minister while replying to the cut motion brought by Congress members in the budget session of state assembly today. Minister said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur himself looked after  Corona Health Services through video conferencing on the day to day basis. He said that at least five doctors would be provided at each PHC hospital.
He said that 60329 people tested positive by the nCoV till today and number of active case increased 1150 and 1003 people died.  He said that state government and health department remained successful in providing good services during the pandemic as the positivity rate as well as numbers remained low. If one compares with population of the big states.
He said that 34 Ayush hospitals were established in the state
and 20 units of Ayush exist in other big hospitals.
The Minister said that State should have a AIMMS level Ayush Hospital in the state and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will take up the matter with Government of India.
Speaking on the cut-motion of Health Department Surinder Kumar of Kullu 
said he said that he had provided two ambulances from his MLA discriminatory grants to ensure the ambulatory services in the district hospital. Member said that during the Covid pandemic it was witnessed by him personally that sometimes 108 ambulance carrying patients would break down at Hanogi temple.
Cong members said that many PHC and CHC are today facing the paucity of trained doctors and staff and doctors are working overtime. He said that doctors who move out for higher study should not be relieved without giving relievers.
Lakhvinder Singh Rana said that the Trauma centre should be provided at Zonal Hospital
Nalagarh as many people are dying due to delay due to lack of emergency services. 
He said that most of accidental cases are being referred to PGI Chandigarh
and Chandigarh Medical Colleges and most of them are dying due to delay in hospitalization . 
Member pointed out that in Ayurvedic Hospital Nalagarh doctors are prescribing the allopathic drugs due to shortage of ayurvedic medicines. 
He alleged that doctors are prescribing the generic drugs available in the market however drugs are being prescribed which are not available.
Vikaramaditya Singh of Cong said that Head of Department of Nephrology are being posted
to other places without making stopgap arrangement. 
He asked the health minister to make regional balance on the posting of doctors and medical staff. He said that OPD of super-speciality could not commissioned at IGMC .
Speaking on the demand Rakesh Singha of CPI(M) said Covid exposed the inefficient
Health Services and many unscrupulous businessmen have also tried to misuse the odd hours for benefits. He seeks probe over purchase of health equipment and machine of a one company Toshiba.
Rs 50 lakh CT scan machine purchase three years ago at IGMC Shimla frequently
went out of order and the hospital administration have spent Rs 2.70 Cr for its repairs, he added.
