Shimla, Nov 9
Education Minister Govind Thakur today has been admitted at Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital Shimla after some breathing problems, senior medical officer of IGMC confirmed.
Senior Medical Superintendent Dr Janak Rak said that Thakur is doing fine after he was admitted at IGMC Shimla. The Minister was tested positive for novel CoronaVirus on Oct 29 and he was isolated in his home at Shimla. He was rushed to IGMC this afternoon as he complained in breathing.
Replying to query about the health condition of Govind Thakur, MS said that he was doing fine.
Thakur had confirmed on Oct 29 in his social media post that he was tested positive for CoronaVirus as he contracted with one Corona positive staff member recently. Since then he has quarantined himself at his residence.
He is the sixth cabinet minister including Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur tested positive in the state. Power Minister Sukh Ram
Chaudhary, Mahinder Singh Thakur, Suresh Bhardwaj, Ram Lal Markanda and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar have tested positive so far.
State registered a sudden spike in the cases as around 450 people were tested positive on Thursday.
