Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh who is currently facing renal ailments urged his supporter to avoid coming to greet him on birthday at his residence in wake of Covid pandemic following social distancing.
In a press statement issued here today octogenarian Cong leader urged the people of state to follow the precautions to save them from COVID-19 as the pandemic is spreading in the state which is matter of grave concern.
Every year on his birthday on Jun 23 people from all over the state visit in large numbers at his private home Holly Lodge to greet him, he said.
Complimenting people’s emotions and love toward him three days ahead six time former chief minister said that he would appeal them to not endanger their health by venturing out in large number to greet him urging them to avoid the celebration this time.
He said that they should follow the social distancing in their home for their own safety
and create awareness about the precautions of pandemic among other people too.
“I consider entire state my own home and since it is not immune to world pandemic everyone should follow the medical instructions keeping them highly aware of its spreading further,” stated Singh.
The time would not be far when all would be together to celebrate such happy occasion in coming day, Mr Singh added.
