Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandru Datatrya , former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal
BJP president Suresh Kashyap and others who came in contact of Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary who tested positive yesterday have home quarantined, informed a senior government officer.
Himachal Pradesh Guv Datatrya who administered oath to three new cabinet ministers at Rajbhavan on July 30 cancelled his all public engagement and trips for next seven days . A Rajbhavan sources said that he is looked after by the Governor Physician and is hale and healthy. The Guv did not come in contact with the infected ministers during the oath taking ceremony as physical distancing was followed and only 46 guests were invited in the oath taking ceremony. But in view of a social media post about the ministers movement in the Rajbhavan Governor decided to cancel all public engagements and trips for next seven days.
On Wednesday Congress president Kulddep Rathore was to submitted the memorandum to Governor but the direct appointment was denied to the opposition leader. Datatrya had said that he did not want to entertain any engagement in wake of spike in the Novel Corona virus case in the state.
A social activists Ravi Dalit on a social media post yesterday pointed out that concerned minister was seen taking oath and clicking the joint picture of new council of Minister in the Rajbhavan Darbar hall after the oath not properly wearing the mask. This was the reason that Guv decided to cancel his public engagement would isolate in himself for next seven days a official of Raj Bhavan confirmed. However the normal functioning of the Rajbhavan remained unaffected. A team of Medical Officer lead by Guv physician Dr Vimal Bharati was keeping eye on the health condition of Guv and he is reported healthy.
Also following the incidence Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Shanta Kumar also decided to go on home quarantine as they met with the newly inducted minister and newly appointed party chief Suresh Kashyap.
The party sources said that Suresh Kashyap would also undergo medical examinations and quarantine as he came to contact with the infected ministers and latter met with former CM Shanta Kumar and Dhumal in their home districts.
All the contacts of minister including PSO ,Pvt Secy to Minister, BJP former youth wing leader Sunil Thakur and two daughter of minister all of them tested positive for the nCoV along minister would also be placed in the quarantine and being tested for the virus.
The SP office Shimla and official residence of ministers and other staff was sealed and sanitized by the administration.
Vice Chairman of HRTC Vijay Agnihotri and BJP spokesman Vajinder Singh, a CMO official are among the close corridors of powers who have tested positive in the hill state.
More than 3029 people in the state are tested positive for the corona virus and daily about 100 cases are pouring from different places in the state.
