In a decade old corruption case, registered by the State Vigilance and Anti Corruption against a top brass and a businessman. Himachal Pradesh High court today passed an order directing the accused to undergo polygraph test as per the scheduled desired by the agency.
Dismissing a petition, single judge bench of Justice Vivek Singh Thakur today directed the petitioner Vinod Mital to give the voice sample and give polygraph test. As on date(s) and at the place as determined by Investigating Officer or Agency.
This petition was filed before the HC against an impugned order of Nov  5, 2018, passed by learned Special Judge (Forest), Shimla.
In the case registered under Section 8 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in P.S. State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau, Shimla wanted to record the voice sample and polygraph test of three accused.
The Special judge directed the accused to undergo the polygraph test graph test. Also to give voice sample to the Investigating Agency disposing off his petition against the investigation of the case.
SV&ACB have an alleged voice recording in which former Chief Secretary P. Mitra, Mital and employees of Revenue Department Narinder Kanwar were purportedly discussing about some deal as the issue. Allegedly it pertains to waiving off of section 118 in the state in lieu of a deal belonging to year 2010-2011.Â
