High reaches of Himachal Pradesh recorded moderate to heavy spell of Snow and downstream lashed by light rainfall increasing the cold wave in the state in last 24 hrs said the met Office.

Met Office said that Keylong, district headquarter of Lahaul & Spiti had 30 cm( one feet) snowfall and Gondla 20 cm.
The Gatway to LS , 13050 ft high Rohtang pass , Kunzum pass, Lady of Keylong, Seven sisters hill, Goshal hill, Baralacha , Sachpass of Chamba, Kinner Kailash of Kinnuar also had two to three feet high snowfall dipping down the Mercury several degrees below normalin minus as Keylong recorded minus 5.6 degrees coldest of this season.
In Kullu district Banjar had 18 mm rainfall, Tinder 17 mm, Kothi 15 mm, Manali and Kalpa in Kinnuar eight mm, Wangto in Kinnuar seven mm, Bajura and Bhunter in Kullu three mm.
Minimum temperature of Keylong plunged to minus 5.6 degree Celsius compared to minus 0.9 degrees of yesterday.
Met office said that minimum temperature of Keylong was seven degrees below normal and dip by minus 4.7 degrees in last 24 hrs.
Entire tribal areas of Lahaul Spiti is wrapped by the thick layer of snowfall as the winter condition is set early in the state this time . All Glacial lakes like Suraj and Chandertall in Lahaul and Spiti valley freezed with the fresh cold wave and snowfall disrupting the vehiclar traffic and communication .
Also it is the first time in the history when people of Lahaul Spiti district are not entirely disconnected with the mainstream as the Border Road Organisation informs that vehicular traffic remained open with commissioning of all weather Rohtang Tunnel in the state.
Kalpa 1.1 degrees and down by two degrees, Manali 2.3 degrees and down by four degrees, Mandi ten degrees, Solan seven degrees, Tourist resort Kufri and Palampur 8.5 degrees each, Dalhousie 10.9 degrees.
Minimum temperature of Sundernagar 8.3 degrees, Una 9.8 degress, Shimla 10 degrees, Kangra and Hamirpur 10.2 degrees each, Chamba 7.8 degrees, Bilaspur 10.5 degrees, Dharmshala 10.6 degrees, Bhuntar Seven degrees,Nahan in Sirmaur 13.7 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hrs.
