Apathy of HRTC which is already charging 25 per cent hike on fare, are keeping almost the entire fleet parked around the cart road in Shimla town but is not putting it at public service, he added.
Though the corporation had not announced any withdrawal of services officially but it seems that the fleet is cut down on the whim and fancies of local management, stated other effected citizens.
The Shimla district administration announced on Saturday that markets would remain open on Sunday due to rakhi. Yet the decision would be no good for nearby villagers if HRTC buses keeps off road on certain local routes. Moreover for most parts of the state besides road transport there are no many viable public modes of transporation available to people in the state.
