Showing no sign of respite the Covid, the millennium scourge, nCoV entered in the tribal Lahaul Spiti district which was had remained unaffected from the pandemic, the senior official confirmed.
Deputy Commissioner Lahaul Spiti K K Saroch said that a worker belonging to Bihar tested positive for the nCoV today.
The victim is 26 yrs old construction worker of Border Road Organisation, a construction wing of Indian Army.
He became the first patient of Lahaul Spiti district which was sofar remained unaffected from the pandemic as the district is landlocked.
Worker securing a valid permit had returned to the state from Haryana on Jun 22 as he was engaged for Bridge construction work at Patseo.
DM said that after the tracing of this case contacts of the victim is being traced.
A news report coming in the district said that LS district reported another COVID positive case today.
With two cases I Lahaul Spiti now all the dozen districts of the hill are infested by the deadly virus.
Total tally of Covid cases increased to two in Lahaul Spiti with both the active cases.
With the addition of 26 more case the total number of nCoV increased to 942 in the state including 366 active cases.
Additional Chief Secretary Health and Nodal Officer of COVID-19 R D Dhiman said that since last night 26 people were found positive in the state including 10 in Solan, six of Kangra, five in Hamipur, two each in Mandi and Lahaul Spiti and one in Chamba district.
He said that ten people found positive in Solan belonged to Industrial hub Baddi Barotiwala and Nalagarh as seven were in instutional qurantine center Swarajmajra Baddi and two from ESI Katha coloney and One Vardhman Chowk Baddi
He said that with 10 new cases in Solan tally increased to 108 including 53 active and recoverd 51, four people tested positive in the district shifted to other states.
Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati said that said that a 34 yrs old man resident of village Majhera P.O. Kachera Tehsil Jaisinghpur with travel history from Jun 22, 2020. Presently at IQ Parour), A 37 yrs old manresident of village Kairi P.O. Shahpur with travel history from Manesar (Haryana) on Jun 20, 2020 (presently at IQ Parour) a 36 yrs old woman and her 8 yrs old son resident of village Nagan PO Khadanaal , Tehsil Baijnath with travel history from delhi on (HQ), A 50 year old female resident of Village Kotlu Paplah Tehsil jaisinghpur with travel history from delhi on Jun 20, 2020, A, 69 year old female resident of Vill Chattru Devi PO Balkrupi Tehsil Jaisinghpur with travel history from Delhi on Jun 21, 2020 (presently HQ) have tested positive ,two each are being shifted to DCCC Dadh and DCCC Baijnath and two others at DCHC Dharamsala.
Eight people recovered in Kangra district today. Who were all admitted in DCHC Dharamshala have tested negative for COVID-19 and are being discharged with the advice of home isolation for next 7 days.
With total six positive cases total number increased 268, active cases 113, recovered 153,
Four more persons including three of a family were found suffering from CORONA positive in Hamirpur today.
Those found positives were two brothers and a sister aged 26,28 and 24 years respectively of Daladar village of the district and another male aged seventy years old from Bherra village.
Besides, nineteen other recovered fully from the disease, the total number of positive cases in the district has reached 243.
An official spokesman said here today that there were 103 active cases in the district and the number of fully cured were 139 besides one dead.
He said that while three members of a family who had returned from Chandigarh were under Home quarantine, the fourth person was under institutional quarantine at Sasan. He had returned from Delhi recently.
The spokesman said that these people would be sent to the Dedicated COVID care center for treatment and isolation.
Two more people contract to nCoV in Mandi district increasing total cases to 37 including 7 active and 21 recoverd . Two Covid patient died in the district.
The Covid infection trends indicated that the virus is prevalent in those districts which are exposed to other states and joined borders and connectivity beside the migration of people recently. Like Kinnuar, Lahaul Spiti, Mandi and Shimla are less affected .
The trend of pandemic indicated that more than 90 percent cases are pouring in those distirct where people have returned from other states as most of tested people have returned from the Maharashtra and Delhi etc.
28 People recovered in the state today .
State having an impressive recovery rate as 556 people have cured which is 60 per cent of the affected people. State has reported ten death of Covid patients however seven died of pandemic and 11 patients have migrated outside Himachal Pradesh.
