Shimla, April 21
Against the allegations made by the Kinnaur MLA, Superintendent of Police, Kinnaur, S.R. Rana, clarifying said that due to the sudden demise of his cousin, Hari Ram Rana, he had to bring children from Delhi to Rekong Peo with Interstate Curfew Pass No. 1072918 dated 13.04.2020 issued by District Magistrate Kinnaur on 13 April 2020. He said all the guidelines issued by the Central and State Government in bringing them home were strictly followed and no rules or guidelines have been violated in the process.
“On reaching Reckong Peo, they both were home quarantined, ensuring compliance with the guidelines issued by the district administration and health department,” he assured. All the rules and advisories of home quarantine prescribed by the health department are being followed and team of the Health Department is regularly conducting health check-ups of quarantined children, Rana informed further.
This morning Kinnaur MLA Jagat Singh Negi had said that Kinnaur SP Saju Ram Rana brought his son and daughter from Delhi to Kinnaur. He had questioned that Delhi is Red Zone of Corona then how come the SP brought his children even when others are being not allowed or quarantined at borders?
Jagat talked about the SPs action while refering to Pyare Lal, a referred patient incident who was stranded at Chaura barrier in Kinnaur since 5:30 AM today.
Actually the patient was referred from Jhakri to Fortis Chandigarh on 18th but the family members brought him back to kinnaur . To day morning that is after three days they started from kinnaur. State Police in statement this morning had said that “so the ASI concerned advised them to get proper pass so that they are not unnecessarily harassed enroute. However he did not bring it in notice of senior officers, they added.
Though this matter was resolved after intervention of senior officers, but the MLAs alligation created a fresh row of #two sets of rule for VIPs vs Commoners. Earlier last week, Mandi MP had made news.
No rule violated says SP Kinnaur
